On Tuesday morning we had our free continental breakfast at the hotel and noticed just how smart the employees are. Can you find the mistake?
Then we headed to
Carlsbad Caverns. It was so neat! We took an elevator down 755 feet below the surface. Crazy huh!? Anyway, we took a self guided tour that was a mile long and took about 1 1/2 hours.
Then we went to the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens State Park. When we were by the eagles, we heard what sounded like him laughing, it was kind of funny! Our favorite animal was Lena, the javelina. It looks like a hairy pig. Anyway, we didn't see the javelina at first so we started calling it's name. "Lena... Lena..." then it came out of hiding and walked right up to the cage and started smelling right where we were. It was awesome! I think she liked us!
Afterwards on our way back home, we saw this sunset when we came out of the mountains in Cloudcroft, NM. So pretty!
